This is Muhatu Energy Angola, through which women who work in the oil sector begin to exchange experiences and knowledge among themselves and with men.
The launch took place this Wednesday afternoon, the 23rd, in Luanda, during which the team that will run the platform for a rotating year was presented.
The founding president, Natacha Massano, administrator of the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), said that the objective of creating that platform is to reduce the gap between women and men in the sector, due to the fact that currently, women represent only 13 % of all employees in the sector.
Natacha Massano also said, in her speech, that currently, in terms of leadership positions, only one in 10 women occupies a decision-making position.
However, he underlined that this disparity is not due to lack of competence, but of opportunities.
He also referred that the creation of the platform will continue to look at men as partners.
The launch was attended by the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, the Ministers of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto and Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa .
