The festival called “Força Angola 47 Anos”, which will feature international performances by Angélique Kidjo, Monique Séka, Lutchiana Mobulu, Petit Pays and Sam Mangwana, is one of the highlights of the commemorations of the 47th Anniversary of Angola’s Independence.
The event, which will take place at Estádio dos Coqueiros, on the 12th of November, will also feature musicians Dom Caetano, Yuri da Cunha, Yannick Afroman, Prodígio, among others.
The 11th of November will be celebrated throughout the country and in Angolan diplomatic and consular missions, however, Luanda will be the host province of the Central Act, this Friday, with various activities.
According to the program in reference to the date, which the Kianda’s mail had access, President João Lourenço will deposit, on November 11, a wreath on the statue of the first Angolan Head of State, António Agostinho Neto, in Largo da Independência.
An event to welcome the date will be chaired by the Minister of Territory Administration (MAT), Dionísio da Fonseca, at Praça Doutor António Agostinho Neto.
Angola’s independence was proclaimed on November 11, 1975, by the first President, Agostinho Neto.
