Professor Anibal Simões was crowned winner of the special edition of the Agostinho Neto centenary liferario prize, according to a statement from the organization, released this Monday, August 8th.
As part of the activities related to the celebrations of the Centenary Dr. António Agostinho Neto, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, through the National Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries, will make public the result of the Literary Prize on the 14th of July of this year.
The Juries, after having appreciated 64 works in competition, decided to award the Prize to “Memorias de uma Kuvale”, by Ulembi, pseudonym of Aníbal João Ribeiro Simões. The award-winning work presents a narrative construction and well-crafted image plans, with a remarkable richness in the aesthetic work and in the elaboration of the sociocultural dimension, it is a work of fiction that refuses the static oral character and ancestral rituals, tolerating a dynamic vision. of the so-called rural or traditional communities.
