The flag airline (TAAG) has updated the rules in force since the 1st of April for travel. On domestic flights, in addition to the mandatory use of a face mask during travel, passengers must present a vaccination certificate at departure. On international flights, the requirement is waived for most countries.
The information note from TAAG, to which Correio da Kianda had access, determines that the presentation of the Vaccination Certificate with full dose on domestic flights is mandatory, which can be replaced by the presentation of a SARS-CoV-2 Test (antigen) with a negative result performed within 48 hours. before the flight, as well as the mandatory use of the easy mask throughout the flight.
On international flights, to leave the national territory (Angola) is exempt from carrying out any type of test to holders of vaccination certificate with full dose. However, it calls for compliance with the requirements of the country of destination or country of transit in transit, presented in the attached table, as well as the requirements of the transport company.
On the other hand, to enter the country, the company requires the presentation of the RT-PCR type SARS-COV-2 Virus Test with a negative result performed within 72 hours prior to travel.
From the list of requirements for those arriving in the country, there is a mandatory financial contribution in post-landing tests on arrival in the country, as well as the use of the mask.
A list of eight countries, attached to the note, determines that citizens coming from Mozambique are required to present a negative result of the RT-PCR test done within 72 hours of departure, while from South Africa, Brazil, Namibia, Nigeria, Portugal, the Democratic Republic from Congo and São Tomé and Príncipe require a certificate with the two doses of the Vaccine or test for Covid-19.
For other countries, not mentioned in the information note of TAAG-Linhas Aéreas de Angola, boarding for the flight does not require the presentation of the certificate or test for COVID-19.
