An “immensity” of people was present since the early hours of today, at Cidadela Desportiva, the place chosen by the Provincial Government of Luanda to host the funeral mass of the musician Nagrelha.
On the way out to the holy field of Cemitério da Santa Ana, in Luanda, thousands of Angolans followed the musician’s funeral procession, which was marked by less good actions, vandalism.
Burning of tires and motorcycles on Avenida Deolinda Rodrigues, robberies, throwing bottles, it was one of the saddest photographs ever seen, with police officers even being hit in the head with stones and bottles.
Several police officers were injured and many had to be rescued by ambulances, a scenario pointed out by some citizens interviewed by the Kianda’s mail as a consequence of the reduced number of staff, mobilized by the Police to cover the funeral of the musician with the largest legion of fans in Angola.
