The President of the National Assembly, Calorina Cerqueira, guaranteed that in this term of office she will focus on training deputies and improving the functioning of the House of Laws.
The new president made these statements to the press today, during the capacity building training for parliamentarians that began yesterday and ends tomorrow, Wednesday.
Correio da kianda learned that, since yesterday, the deputies of the Fifth legislature, participate in a seminar for the initiation of deputies to guarantee knowledge and skills to the parliamentarians of this fifth legislature.
Speaking to the press, the president of the AN said that in this term she will invest heavily in the training of deputies.
“As president of this house, I will spare no effort to guarantee the qualification of all the staff of the National Assembly, as well as the modernization of the respective services, with a view to finding technological solutions that aim to improve the work of the deputies”.
For fencing, the parliamentary function is quite complex and transversal, so the continuous holding of seminars and other training actions on parliamentary performance and the various social phenomena in our country are of great importance for deputies to efficiently exercise their constitutional, representation, legislative production, and political oversight and control functions.
The meeting that ends tomorrow, also discusses the remuneration regime and subsidies to political parties and parliamentary groups, as well as parliament and the media. On the first day of the seminar, the deputies discussed the evolution of the Angolan parliament, the organic structure and functioning of the National Assembly.
