The future of the Nationalist Party for Justice of Angola seems increasingly designed for its disappearance (extinction), after its first participation in the general elections of last August 24th. At this point, P-NJANGO is divided into two “wings”, one led by Dinho Chingunji, and the other, which is being headed by the vice-president, António Barros, and the other members of the main bodies of this party.
After more than ten days had passed, given by the TC for the legal representative of P-NJANGO, Rufino Sawindi, to pronounce before the State bodies, resorting to the request of the PGR for the extinction of this party, the politician affirms that the members of the National Committee did not respond or accept the Attorney General’s request.
According to Rufino Sawandi, responsible for P-NJANGO, the court gave legitimacy to respond to the letter of extinction of the PGR, he said, in an interview this Thursday, 24, to the Kianda’s mailwho at the last meeting of the National Committee and its Political Council, decided not to appeal the PGR’s request and underlines that the extinction of its party is legitimate, due to the fact that, in the last general elections in which it participated, it did not manage to reach the minimum 0.50% of votes that would save you from your disappearance.
Rufino said that the Political Commission of P-NJANGO came to the conclusion that they should not appeal, after reading the TC dispatch several times, as they did not reach the percentage of 0.50% of votes, and the members understood that they had no elements sufficient to justify, if not, accepting the request for extinction.
The head of the Jurisdiction Commission of P.-NJANGO revealed that at this time, the Nationalist Party for Justice is divided into two “wings”, one of Dinho Chingunji and the other led by 90% of the members of the political commission and other organs of the P-NJANGO.
Our newspaper contacted one of the leaders of P-NJANGO, from Dinho Chingunji’s wing, about what the future of the party will be, he said that this matter depends on the decision of the other “wing”, because they were the ones who received the notification to reply.
According to Mwenho Costa, if they don’t respond, P-NJANGO will certainly be extinct.
