The current secretary of the Angolan embassy in Senegal, a UNITA militant and one of the eldest sons of Jonas Savimbi, founding president of that political party, Tao Savimbi, was expelled this Friday, 18, as a member of the Permanent Committee of the Political Commission do Galo Negro, during the second meeting of this summit, which began yesterday🇧🇷
A source from the largest Angolan opposition party told the Kianda’s mailthat the former deputy head of diplomacy at UNITA was removed and suspended from the political commission, due to his recent statements against the current president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, when he called for a vote against the leader of the “Maninhos”, and in return declared a vote in favor of the then MPLA candidate, João Lourenço, on the eve of the general election campaign on 24 August last.
The same source said that the second son of Jonas Savimbi, more politically exposed, could be expelled today from the party created by his own father, if the members of the Permanent Committee of the Political Commission approve this decision.
