The Angolan pilot Rui Andrade is on his way to the United States of America, where he will debut this weekend at Petit Le Mand, heading to the United States this weekend (28th September – 1st October) to the final round of the 2022 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.
Petit Le Mans is a 10-hour race that takes place on the Road Atlanta circuit in Braselton, Georgia, USA.
It uses the rules established for the 24 Hours of Le Mans by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest.
This weekend’s event will be the 25th edition of the race on the 4,099 km long circuit, and Rui will be the first ever Angolan rider to participate.
Rui Andrade is sharing the 8 Tower Motorsport LMP2 car with Louis Deletraz and John Farano in the prestigious series.
They are currently in fourth position in the championship with only 11 points of difference to the leader, with a good chance of winning the title.
