The football world cup kicks off today (November 20th), starting at 1 pm in Qatar, with the participation of 32 teams that are vying for the dream of lifting the champion cup of the biggest football competition on the planet.
The opening game will take place at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, north of Doha, with kick-off between the hosts and Ecuador at 16:00.
The African continent is represented with five selections, namely, Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon and Tunisia. Brazil and Portugal are the teams that represent Lusophony in the competition.
Games Calendar
A single game is reserved for this Sunday and will oppose the hosts of Qatar to Ecuador for the dispute of the first match, of group A.
Tomorrow, Monday, three matches are scheduled. At 13:00 (from Angola) the selections of England and Iran play for group B. Three hours later, the teams from Senegal and the Netherlands measure strength.
The last game of the day tomorrow is scheduled for 20:00, and will be between the USA and Wales.
At 10:00 am on Tuesday, the 22nd, Argentina will play against Saudi Arabia, for the first meeting of group C. At 13:00, Denmark and Tunisia will play in group D. The game between Poland and Mexico will take place at 16:00 of group C. At 19:00 on the same day, France and Australia will face off for the leadership of group D.
On Wednesday, the 23rd, groups E and F will be played. Thus, Morocco plays against Croatia at 10:00 am, for group F. Germany and Japan enter the field at 1:00 pm, for group E. At 4:00 pm, Spain and Costa Rica play the second match of group E. The last game of that day will be between Belgium and Canada, at 7 pm, for the closing of group F.
On Thursday, the 24th, four matches will also be played. At 10:00 am Switzerland and Cameroon will play for the first time in the World Cup in Qatar, for group G, at 13:00 pm Uruguay will face South Korea, in group H. group H and at 19:00 Brazil plays against Serbia, in the closing of the first meetings of each of the 32 teams present in the World Cup in Qatar.
